“In this essay of Freedom and Human Nature, I would like to talk about change, and its necessity to the soul as this applies both to Plato and Aristotle, who have very different views on the human and world soul.”
“I will try to answer this question using my, Plato’s and Aristotle’s definitions of change, if the writers in question even answer this question. As I already have come to you with my definition, I can answer this question according to myself quite easily. The short answer is no. Change is not necessary for the soul to exist.”
“Plato looks at the soul in a different way than how I would look at it, interesting, no doubt, but different.”
“Plato, in the Timaeus says that he doesn’t know what he is really talking about, he doesn’t know how the universe was created, or why, or any other answers to FAQ’s of life.”
“Although Plato looks at these gaps that Aristotle has left, he does not explain change at all. So from this, we can conclude that Plato does not believe that change is necessary in a human soul.”
this is wonderful
